A Shooting Star

the day I say goodbye
I'll claim to do so, with a smile
perhaps, with my head held high
with glory and pride.

No taints I wish to leave in this world,
for it is tainted enough
with no shade to cries
beneath the tar grey skies

thence,
though the parting may be full of tears,
a goodbye, still no grief
- a shooting star, is all I wish to be.
